We're proud to welcome Catalist Realty to our Sarasota office. A Sarasota-based brokerage built on giving back, Catalist will operate as The Catalist Group within Keyes.
Our Sarasota office, which has nearly 70 associates, will relocate to Catalist's historic cottage office at 1630 Morrill St., where the combined team will be based.
Founded in 2018 by Broker/Owner David Crawford, Catalist Realty donates a portion of its compensation to a nonprofit chosen by the buyer or seller. Through its customers' selections, the firm has generated more than $350,000 in contributions to over 65 local 501(c)(3) organizations. The model roots Catalist deeply in the community and gives customers a direct way to engage with local causes.
Catalist is strongest in residential markets from central Sarasota to Manatee County and regularly handles transactions in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market, meeting customers where they are. Its team will leverage our partnerships with Forbes Global Properties and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®, along with the technology, services, and tools that support Keyes associates.
"When a company is built around giving back, you can feel it in how they treat their customers and their community," Keyes President Christina Pappas said. "That's what we saw in David and the Catalist team, and it's what Keyes has stood for over the last century."
Crawford is the 2026 President of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) and serves on the Executive Board of Ambassadors for the American Cancer Society Southwest Florida Golf Classic. He is also Vice Chair of Big Waters Land Trust and will become Board Chair in 2027. Crawford and Catalist have been recognized with the Sarasota Magazine Unity Award, SRQ Magazine Good Hero Award, and Sarasota Chamber Small Business Awards' Community Impact Award.
"Real estate has been in my family for more than four decades, and I started out fixing rental properties as a kid," Crawford said. "I started Catalist on the belief that every transaction should strengthen the community. Joining Keyes lets our team keep doing what we do best while gaining the resources, technology and reach to do even more for our clients and for the nonprofits we support."
Catalist REALTOR® Vannesa Poole, who serves on the Florida Realtors Board of Directors and the RASM Board of Directors, is among the agents joining Keyes.
This expansion builds on our legacy as Florida's largest independent real estate brokerage as we celebrate our centennial year.
"For Keyes, these are not your typical M&A deals. It's not about production, it's about people," Keyes Southwest Florida Regional Manager Barry Grooms said. "Gone are the days of looking at a company the way Wall Street does. We look at it the way Main Street does. Keyes and Catalist share the same mission, and that made this an easy union."
